Visa Photo and Paperwork Checking Day

Up several times in the night I got up at 7 am. I got Beibei up and gave her a bottle. We were ready to go to breakfast at 8:15 and I looked at the schedule for today again. The schedule said 10-11:30 Visa Picture and Paperwork Checking. Meet at 9. Hmmm... That's different. So we ate breakfast quickly and went to where we were to meet at 9. No one was there so we went to Holt's office and told Catherine what our schedule said. She said we could go take the photo now and get the paperwork checking done early. That was fine with us!

So we walked to the photo place and got the picture taken which took all of 30 seconds. Then we went back to Holt's office to make sure all our forms were filled out correctly. Catherine was very impressed that I was so organized. She said one time she had a group of 10 families doing this and it took 90 minutes. It probably took us 15-20 minutes only because the phone kept ringing because other families are coming in today.

Then we talked about maybe going to the zoo today. Rain was forecasted so she suggested we take an umbrella. We talked a little more and decided to stop at the Safari Zoo on the way back from the orphanage on Wednesday. Today we'll go to the jade market and pearl market.

We met Joyce shortly in the lobby and went to the jade market. We didn't find anything we wanted so we went to the pearl market. This place is amazing! There's shop after shop after shop of pearls, strings of other gems, etc. There's got to be at least 100 shops there! We wondered how anyone could make anything when there's so much in one place! We then looked for more clothes but couldn't find anything small enough. So we came back to the hotel.

It was bottle time, play time and then nap time :-) . It rained while we napped. For some reason all of a sudden we had a little meltdown today, too. Then we spent time in the play room. Beibei is very sociable with the other kids and the other parents are amazed at how well she can walk! She's quite the charmer!

We stopped at Jordon again to look for more things. Then we went to Lucy's for supper. I had sweet and sour pork, Tony had a chicken sandwich and we got congee and French Fries for Beibei. Then we stopped at Michael's Place to post this post and buy more things. Next it is back to the room for formula, play and quiet time and bed.

Tomorrow is Medical Exam day.

Hi Guys! The dreaded meltdown. I wish I had some great advice for you. I know your situation is completely different, but I just let Rylee cry it out. (even in public which was very embarrassing). I didn't pick her up or give her positive attention for them. Luckily, she only had 2 in public (which scarred me for life). Soooo, either ignoring the meltdowns worked, or I am extremly lucky, or both. ... anyway, I am sure you'll find what works best for your beautiful, new family.

I am so happy for you all! She is truly a living doll. Had to laugh as I walk down memory lane. Gabby was a climber also, and they move quickly! Had to laugh a little about the hard mattress also, "suck it up Tony!" I'll bet it's beautiful, the parks etc. You 3 make a great family and you will be (are) the best parents ever! Look forward to meeting her.

God Bless,

Well Tony its good to hear that you got the poopie diaper. I know that you are only half the man I am, but you are twice the diaper changer. It sounds like all is going well. I am so glad that it seems that the three of you getting used to each other is going so well. I prayed a lot for that. I guess God knows who needs who and there you have it. When you talk about going to the play room, I keep thinking of Daniel going to the play area in the mall where there were so many kids. You have so much to look forward to. Kids meal toys, playing in the play area at Burger king, the first day at school, Driving permits, first dates, o.k. I'll back up...First Christmas, Saying kitty, Mama, Daddy.. which she will say first cause Dads are way coooool. What a great time you have to look forward to. You feel love now...It will grow and continue to grow! May God bless you all. Have a fun day tomorrow.
