Moving Day!

Friday, the 17th, was the day we got to move on to the next step in our journey.  We had to pack everything up (I wondered if I'd get it all in our suitcases!) and take a flight to Guangzhou to finish up the adoption, Visa and US Consulate processes.  This would be Dawson's first airplane ride.  You never know how that might go.  We didn't do this with Meighan because we spent all our time in Guangzhou and didn't get on a plane until it was time to come home.

Our flight was during the daytime.  All the CCAI folks' flight got them into Guangzhou late at night.  So, we got all packed and our guide and driver took us to the airport.  Echo helped get us checked in (she got in line and checked us in -- we didn't have to BE there!).  We got through security and found our gate.  While we waited, we found out that Dawson liked Nutrigrain bars!  Ooooohhhh, did he like Nutrigrain bars!

As I recall, he did OK on the plane for a little while -- until they brought us food.  He wanted OUR food, not that nasty bottle and formula!  He cried probably 3/4 of the 2-hour flight.  NOT FUN!  And there was a gal next to me trying to sleep.  Oh, my!  We were the only Westerners on the plane.  Then we were in such a hurry to get off that Tony didn't grab our coats.  Dawson and I waited in the jetway while Tony went back to get our coats.  I had to endure the "looks" of all the people coming off the plane -- whatever they were thinking.

We found our luggage and our guide and were on our way to the hotel -- finally!  The last main stop on our trip!

This was waiting for us in the room from the hotel.

We had a desk!

I can see it.  Why can't I get it?

Silly boy!
