I actually started putting things in suitcases yesterday! Yeah! I have most of Le An's stuff in one of the big suitcases. We have to pack for two seasons because Henan will be cold like it is here and Guangzhou is like Florida. This part is different than when we went last time partly because we are going earlier in the year.
So, anyway, when we got our final in-China itinerary, I looked up all of the hotels we would be at. We'll be in FOUR hotels this time instead of just two. We also will be on six planes and two trains, as well as a myriad of taxis, vans, busses, etc. Here are links to the hotels we will be staying in:
The Xian Golden Flower Shangri-La Hotel from Feb 9-11.
The Zhengzhou Crowne Plaza Hotel from Feb 11-17.
The Guangzhou China Hotel (a Marriott) from Feb 17-22.
The Hong Kong Regal Airport Hotel from Feb 22-23.
They all sound quite nice but I have heard that the Crowne Plaza in Zhengzhou is quite smokey everywhere in the hotel and that we'll be glad to move on to Guangzhou! Hopefully, the weather will be such that we can be outside some of the time.

Just got TA today. We are requesting our CA as soon as possible which will be the week of the 28th. If we get that, we will be going to China sometime around the 16th. We may see you in Guangzhou after all. We will be at the China Hotel Marriott in Guangzhou the whole time.
Yippee! Great news! Thanks for sharing the links, I am the ever curious one, and will be clicking on ALL. I am really very excited for you (and for this other commenter here for their travel approval, too) Go get him!!!!!!!
I heard the same about the Crowne in Zhengzhou. I am not sure how I would fare in that hotel with my asthma. I am curious to see what your experience will be like at all of these hotels.
Congratulations again!
Blessings,
Tasha
I'm so excited for you, Sue! I can't wait to be planning this last part of the whole process :). Come on, TA!!!
Oh, I've heard some people taking a bottle of Febreeze (not sure if you can buy them there?). I have a sensitive nose and can't stand the smell of smoke although I know that's what I'll have to get used to over there! Anyway, it's worth a try.
Ah, good thought, Linda! I have a small one. I'm also taking small packages of Clorox wipes. That may help the smell a bit, too. Gotta somehow get all this in the suitcases!
Sue
